Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about business compliance, filings, and our services.
An annual report (also called a Statement of Information in some states) is a filing required by most U.S. states to keep your business in good standing. It confirms your company's basic information — officers, registered agent, address — with the state. Failing to file on time can result in penalties or administrative dissolution.
If your business missed required filings, the state may have placed it in "delinquent," "suspended," "revoked," or "forfeited" status. Delinquency curing is the process of catching up on all overdue filings, paying outstanding fees and penalties, and restoring your entity to "good standing." We handle this entire process on your behalf.
We provide business compliance and filing services in all 50 U.S. states, as well as the District of Columbia. Whether your business is in California, Texas, Delaware, New York, or any other state, our specialists can handle your compliance needs.
Most standard filings (annual reports, statements of information) are completed within 24–48 business hours after we receive all required information and payment. Reinstatement filings may take longer depending on the state. Rush processing is available — contact us to discuss.
Generally: your business entity name and type (LLC, Corp, etc.), the state(s) of registration, registered agent information, current officer/member names and addresses, and for reinstatements, any prior filing confirmation numbers. Our intake process guides you through everything needed.
Registered Agency is a compliance and filing service, not a law firm or CPA firm. We do not provide legal or tax advice. We help identify which state filings your business requires and handle their preparation and submission. For legal or tax questions, consult a licensed attorney or CPA.
A registered agent is a person or business designated to receive official legal and government correspondence on behalf of your company. Most U.S. states require businesses to maintain a registered agent with a physical street address in the state of registration.
Missing your annual report deadline typically results in late fees. If the delinquency continues, the state may administratively dissolve or revoke your entity. A dissolved entity generally cannot enter contracts, open bank accounts, or conduct business legally.
